Our client is urgently in need of a licensed Physical Therapist to start immediately for 8 weeks to provide coverage for an extended vacation. This is a long-term acute care hospital with a patient census range of 15 - 23, treating eight patients within your 8-hour work day.

About our client
Our client provides care to medically complex patients who have experienced catastrophic illness and/or multi-system failure and are in need of intense rehabilitation services and an extended stay in an acute care setting. The average length of stay (ALOS) of these patients is a range of 25 35 days which is a longer than average stay at a Short Term Acute Care Hospital.

Responsibilities Physical Therapist
Evaluate and assess your patients to establish functional, measurable goals that promote restoration of functional abilities.
Realize your own potential to achieve your goals and overall excellence.
Advise and consult with the family and/or other caregivers as indicated to promote the client's level of progress toward mutually agreed upon goals and plan for discharge.
Participate in educating the client and the family or other caregivers to promote the client's progress toward mutually agreed upon goals.

Requirements Physical Therapist
Minimum of 2 years experience
Valid California PT License
Degree from PT Accredited College
Ability to work effectively with clients and to work cooperatively with others
Provide a quality customer service focus and an enthusiastic attitude

Compensation and Benefits of the Physical Therapist
Salary: $42 - $44 per hour based on experience, benefit level and traveler status.*
